Our staff are passionate about St. John's Summer Program and are the single most important ingredient
of our success (after God of course!)
Each St. John's Summer Program staff member is subjected to a detailed hiring process which includes a personal interview and background check, as well as an intensive pre-camp orientation. Our instructors also participate in ongoing staff development and training throughout the summer. Understanding that our campers' Summer Program experience is directly linked to their interaction with our staff, we hire engaging, fun and responsible young adults who exhibit a joyful love of Christ and desire to be positive role models in your children's lives.
Staff Pilgrimages and mission trips
One of the most beautiful aspects of Summer Program is the number of deep, Christ-centered friendships that develop over the summer among the instructors; many of which will obviously be life-long. One way to nurture those friendships while fostering a deeper love of Christ and the Church is through pilgrimages and mission trips. We have had the privilege of taking instructors on three different pilgrimages (four to the holy saints and sites of Italy, two to the holy saints and sites of France, Spain and Portugal, and one to the holy saints and sites of North America), and one mission trip to Jamaica.
